Facts from Biblical scripture that MUST be fulfilled!

FACT 22: A certain nation MUST be destroyed.

FACT 23: The historical record of this nation MUST come forth from out of the ground.

FACT 24: This record MUST have a familiar spirit.

FACT 25: This record MUST be revealed only after a period of time when the prophets and rulers of the House of Israel ceased to exist.

FACT 26: The words of this record MUST be delivered to a learned man who shall say that he cannot read a sealed book.

FACT 27: This record MUST be delivered to an unlearned man through whom God will perform a marvellous work and a wonder to the world.

FACT 28: This record MUST assist people to understand the truth about God.

Prophecy fulfilment!

FACT 22: The nation that was destroyed is the Nephite nation living in the Americas who kept a record which was named after one of their prophets, Mormon.  The record covers their history from 600BC to AD421 and reveals how they were descended from the Tribe of Joseph and left Jerusalem to travel to the Americas by the power of God.  (Ariel, as mentioned in the text is another name for Jerusalem, which also fell, the Nephites being related and suffering a similar fate).

FACT23: The Book of Mormon records (engraved upon gold plates) were buried by Moroni, son of the Prophet Mormon, in the fifth century AD.   Centuries later these same records were brought up out of the ground in the year 1827.

FACT 24: The Book of Mormon does indeed have a familiar spirit, not only to the native American Indians today who are the descendants of the people of the book, but to all those who study it alongside the Holy Bible; for both records were written by prophets called by the same God and coming from the same people, the House of Israel.

FACT 25: The Book of Mormon was brought forth in the year 1827, after a long period of time when the prophets and rulers of the House of Israel were taken away due to wickedness.

FACT 26: Professor Charles Anthon was shown a transcription of the ancient language characters from the gold plates of the Book of Mormon record. He confirmed that they were authentic and wanted to translate them himself.  When told that part of the record was sealed and was forbidden to be given to people other than he to whom God had entrusted them, Professor Anthon fulfilled this prophecy by saying, that he could not read a sealed book.

FACT 27: The actual gold plates of the Book of Mormon were delivered to Joseph Smith, an unlearned man, by the same Moroni who buried them in the ground fourteen centuries previously.  Since then it is a matter of record that God has performed a work through this latter-day Prophet, Joseph Smith, that is indeed becoming a marvellous work and a wonder in the eyes of all nations as this latter-day kingdom of God fills the earth.

FACT 28: Twelve million members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints living, and many people since the coming forth of the Book of Mormon, have been assisted in knowing the truth about God and the reasons for their existence as they study the teachings of the Book of Mormon as well as the Holy Bible.
