IS THE BIBLE A DIVINE BOOK
Or
JUST THE WORK OF MAN?
Introduction
The Holy Bible is a book that is revered by millions of people worldwide as a record commissioned by God through divinely called prophets. Adherents to this book hold it aloft to the world as being something of great importance and value that all people should subscribe to and live by. Unfortunately, all these millions of advocates, although united in their love of the book, do not all belong to the same camp of interpretation of its thousands of profound statements. It is curious that people can accept such a record as being truly from a divine source without questioning how it is that the millions of believers divide out amongst hundreds of different Bible organisations with a different approach to its purpose and teachings. Under this circumstance of the many contradictory opinions held by the believers of this one book, is it possible to know for sure if the Bible really is authored by a living God? If it can be proven so, then its value to the world is truly inestimable, but if it is absolutely impossible to establish a divine link, then the missionary perspective in trying to convert people to the book as having a divine source is not valid.
In my opinion, the very first approach in establishing divine authenticity of the Bible is by using pure logic to the facts of the existence and contents of the book itself rather than contacting those who believe in its divinity already. If one had the time to visit each different Bible organisation in the world to ask how they know the book to be the very word of God, it is very unlikely that any of them would have an absolutely infallible explanation, since if this were the case there would only be one Bible organisation existing in the world as a result of an absolutely infallible explanation. Pure logic however, if applied comprehensively is a very powerful method in attempting to establish the truth.
For example, in relation to this topic we must begin by seeing the situation firstly from the perspective of God, who is the alleged author of the work, rather than blindly accepting the prospective fallible explanations of those in the world who declare its divine origins. We can establish immediately that if the writings of the Bible are divinely given to the world, the method that God has used in making such a record possible is through recorders known as Prophets; because many of the statements within the Bible are of a predictive nature stating events that must come to pass at some future time of the writing.
If it can be proven that the prophecies as recorded in the Bible over two thousand years ago are becoming fulfilled, it would be a very good indication that this book has a Divine author; but if the prophecies have no foundation then it would be reasonable to accept the book only for the merits of the human wisdom that it, without doubt, would possess.
The following eleven Bible prophecies, if studied together will logically lead a person to the conclusion that God has a definite plan regarding the people of this world, which is to include the setting up of a special organisation in these latter-days; but only if the prophecies are being fulfilled!
If each prophecy was studied in isolation, an individual student might conclude with their own interpretation; but if all eleven prophecies are studied together, it would be hard to create an overall explanation by linking them together. This publication not only studies them as a linked plan created by God but offers an explanation of the fulfilment of these prophecies which refer to a latter-day organisation that is to be established through Divine power. Only one organisation upon the Earth has historically recorded facts that fit the fulfilment of all of these prophecies.
After reading the explanation in the following pages, if a person could not accept the evidence and conclusion, they must put forth their own explanation with regard to the same eleven Biblical statements in order to ensure that the Bible remains validated as the word of God.
