Facts from Biblical scripture that MUST be fulfilled!

FACT 35: God MUST send Elijah the Prophet back to Earth before the Second Coming of the Saviour.

FACT 36: Elijah’s visit MUST bring about a special work so that all the families of the Earth may have the opportunity to receive great blessings from God.

Prophecy fulfilment!

FACT 35: The Prophet Joseph Smith received many visits from heavenly messengers since his first vision in the year 1820.  One of these subsequent visitors was that of Elijah the Prophet who appeared to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdrey in the Kirtland Temple on the 3rd of April 1836.

FACT 36: Elijah restored the power and authority so that all the families of the Earth can be blessed with the fullness of salvation, whether those living on earth, or those who have passed through death into the Spirit World. It is interesting to note that only one year after the appearance of Elijah in the Kirtland Temple, the nations of the world began to keep detailed records of births, deaths, and marriages of their populations, as well as a regular census.  The spirit of Elijah is truly resting upon people as they (the children) turn their hearts to their ancestors (the fathers) by searching the records to discover their ancestry.  No doubt some of the fathers in the spirit world are also turning their hearts to us their children on earth, in the hope that we will identify them so that the work of salvation can be performed within the Holy Temples on their behalf.  It is no coincidence that the latter-day kingdom of God happens to possess the largest genealogical society in the world.  It is important to note that just as many people in the world have not turned their hearts to family history research, there may well be many people in the spirit world that are not interested in this research and Temple purposes.  God does not force any person to accept the work He is making available to all people in all nations.
